Big Night Out 2015

27th June 2015

Big Night Out 2015

Kent Scouts wanted to see how many of its 20,000 Scouts can camp on the same night.

Always willing for an excuse to go camping, all of Faversham's Groups took the opportunity to camp at the weekend.

All the Faversham Beaver Colonies camped together at Shepherd Park enjoying activities such as an assault course and water slide.

Kent Scouts County Commissioner, Harvey Kennett, visited Shepherd Park and saw Cubs and Scouts from the 6th/13th and 7th Faversham Groups at their camp. Also there were the Cubs from the 1st Faversham, who decided to forego tents and built shelters to sleep in for the night.

At Ham Road the 8th Faversham's Cubs and Scouts enjoyed powerboating and hiking over the weekend as well as a water slide.

The final total from Faversham was 108 Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers and 29 Leaders. Over 10,000 Scouts took part around Kent and you can find their stories here: #bignightout2015

Our photos are here.

All those who took part will receive the special 'Big Night Out' camping badge.
