ReQuest 2021 Lady Daphne Work Days

As part of ReQuest 2021, the Kent Scouts Antarctic Project have partnered with the Lady Daphne Thames Barge to recreate Shackleton's Quest Expedition sailing under Tower Bridge.

The Lady Daphne is coming to Faversham for the maintenance during this winter and help is needed. A number of work days have been arranged for weekends and school holidays, all are detailed on the Calendar page.

Help is needed for a variety of tasks including derigging, building poly tunnels, labelling, maintenance, cleaning, de-rusting, sanding, painting. Anyone over 14 years old is welcome, you can use the time for service in the DofE Award scheme, Platignum, Diamond, Queen's Scout Award or Adult Volunteer Hours. Every volunteer hour completed helps ReQuest 2021 and there is the added incentive, by completing 10 or more days you will have the opportunity to sail the ship back to London in June 2020.
